SLSU to employ WFH on Fridays, limits student activities
To support the national energy conservation initiative, Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) is set to implement a work-from-home (WFH) setup every Friday starting March 9.
Under Memorandum Order No. 022 s. 2026, faculty members are advised to conduct classes, consultations, and other academic responsibilities on Fridays through online modalities, while non-teaching personnel will adopt a compressed four-day workweek.
The memorandum also prohibits all student activities scheduled on Fridays, directing student organizations and university offices to move previously approved events.
Meanwhile, academic activities requiring in-person participation such as laboratory classes and the National Service Training Program (NSTP) may be rescheduled in coordination with concerned academic units.
